Christmas is in the air... or at least hanging off the rain gutters

I spent the better part of today and yesterday on top of the roof putting up our xmas lights. We have those "fancy" icicle things, so it's not really easy to put up, and there's always that one bulb that drives you nuts cuz it's making the whole string not light up. But they're finally up. So after 3 trips to Orchard Supply Hardware, who knows how many trips up and down the ladder, many cracked roof shingles, 5 broken bulbs, and one dead cell phone battery, they're up. Too bad it took so stinkin' long and some close calls on the edge of the roof. Man, those prickly bushes down below don't look that inviting...

In other news, it's getting cold here. I can see my breath at night now. I guess it means that winter is finally here and time to put the snowboard rack back on the car... now for some more snow....
