Office Space (Pictorial)

I just started a new job. An actual job which gave me a computer, a working chair, an actual phone with working phone number, and a steady paycheck. It's such a stark contrast from my summer internships, since I lacked everything mentioned above, including a cubicle.

In order to spice things up for people bored stiff at work, I decided that pictures will probably be more exciting than reading a bunch of words about something you really don't care all that much about, no matter how interesting the story may be. So, i am please to announce the first attempt at a pictorial essay instead of a normal, boring text blog entry. If you dont' like it, too bad. You're here anyways. Just keep moving that scroll wheel on your mouse.

So last week, I started my new job at .

It's pretty exciting since they have all kind of perks that were quite prevalent during the boom, but has pretty much fizzled out. Like for instance, they provide unlimited
as well as
and all the

you can drink. All this is provided free of charge. Cool huh? Not only do they provide those tasty beverages, they also offer ,
something i haven't seen in a long time.

The work that I do is really really hard to explain. So instead of trying to describe to you what i do, i'll try to show you what i do. My job is basically grunt work. Moderately intelligent grunt work at best, and just plain ol' vanilla pudding grunt work at it's worst. So at
we make
which go into
and
and I dunno what else. I'm part of a team that comes up with the
(microchip) which is then put into .
My job is to take
which is done by the designer (not that pretty) and many hours and thousands of clicks later, I eventually turn out ,
with which a bunch of
in suits eventually makes .
Don't ask. Personally, it's all a bunch of to me.

It's not terribly exciting or as interesting as crunching baseball stats or poker probabilities, but they did give me a with two of to help me with all my
clicking.

If only they gave out free like Google... (okay, so google makes you pay, but at least they have an in-house masseuse)
