The Inevitable

This past weekend, I drove down to LA for Sam's wedding. Quite a sight to behold, seeing the guy who we all thought would get married last, get married relatively quickly. The contrast couldn't have been more drastic, seeing as the mental image I have was Sam always chasing Eun-sook around with his shirt up, or Sam rubbing his prenatal child. And then to see him standing up at the alter, girl on his side, his little speech during the reception, amazing how much people can change in such short a time. I'm really happy for him. 2 down. A whole lot more to go...

In lieu of the wedding, I made the drive down to LA that morning. Normally, I'd do my best to avoid any kind of driving in la. I hate la traffic. More specifically, i hate THE 405. I don't understand how a highway 4-5 lanes across, on a mid-saturday afternoon is backed up worse than a dorm toilet after a bad meal. And if that wasn't enough, going back home that night, 11pm, I-5 was jam-packed out of o.c. What?!?! it's 11pm!! no accident, no overturn, no nothing. Just traffic. 11pm. Sickness. Stupid. I hate la traffic. I think if i were to work down there, i'd quit after a few weeks just out of the sheer frustration of driving to work. (funny, i can't stand 45 mins of bumper-to-bumper traffic, but i'll willingly drive 5-6 hrs each way for a wedding...)

But i did enjoy the solo road trip down. Got me thinking why i don't do it more often. I've been meaning to go back to Vegas and check this place out:

If anyone wants to go and eat the buffet, oogle the ferrari dealership, let me know. We'll find a weekend that's free and head out there. Call me nuts. Call me crazy. whatevers. Can't hold me back from no buffet...
