I haven't blogged in a while, so i guess it's time to bring you all up to speed. I had a small cavity and went to the dentist on Monday. Not fun i tell you. The dentist had a field day with that novacaine needle: stuck it in my mouth 2x, and both times he pushed in halfway, and if that wasn't painful enough, he decided it would be fun to swirl the needle around to see if anything hurt... korean dentists, shady folk i tell you

School's started back up, my course load should be decent this semester, allowing me to focus on recruiting now. I have a few interviews coming up, and one of them is an on-site interview. I really don't know what to expect from them, other than that i'm going to feel really stupid and insignificant. Nothings worse than going to an interview and feeling like you're just wasting their time. Being an engineer really sucks for recruiting, we get asked all these technical questions, none of this 'how would you deal with this situation' or all the other 'typical' interview questions. Oh well, hopefully i'll get something... just gotta keep praying and have faith.

More to follow at a later date (when i remember to blog again)

If you are really, really really bored, and i mean REALLY bored, check this out.

Well, i'm back from the ski trip. I'm pooped like none-other. Just drove though some of the most miserable driving conditions, chains, snow flurries, the whole bit. The snow up at heavenly wasn't all that 'heavenly', but it wasn't all ice either, so it ended up being a lot better than i expected. I'm all sore and feel like a bus came and ran me over, backed-up, and ran me over again.

Some of the sisters in the group have some mad dance moves and tore it up last night at the little club they have at Caeser's Palace up at South Lake Tahoe.
I'll post up some pictures up later from the trip so you all can see what fools we made of ourselves =)

As promised, here a picture of my house in the morning...

as you can see, this is not the most "friendly" time of the year. The picture was taken about 8 in the morning, so just imagine it a little bit earlier. So all of you So Cal people who are all complaining about it being cold in Berkeley, you've barely seen what cold is =)

Well, back up at school now, getting ready for the ski trip. Finished moving into my apt and out of the old one.

I don't know what to expect from this ski trip. It's going to be really interesting, since the snow is going to be really bad. I might just snowboard one day and just chill for the rest, but we'll see. I'll have to think about this one once i'm up there. It's been kinda warm up there lately, so the snow is basically slush during the day and ice in the late afternoon. Oh well, at least i have the casino buffets to look forward to =D

I should really hook up a website to post all these pictures i'm taking, so you can see what i'm looking at all day from this windows (nothing except ikea traffic). If you're reading this, you have to come and visit me, you've got no excuses now. My door is always open for guests. Stinking boring as *fill-in-the-blank* over here in this city/dump.

Driving with the windows down, sun shining in your face, your favorite tunes blaring... bliss =)

I'm really excited about the upcoming ski-trip. I just got a new digital camera, so no more of the monster i have to lug around. I'll post a picture eventually of my "monster" camera and components, but not right now.

This house is freezing, i've been sitting here for about 10 mins and now my fingers/toes are numb... brrrrrr...

i need to brush up on my korean... and my parents need to stop using all these big fancy words on me too

Being at home is really nice, but it also has its downsides too. I butted heads with my parents last night, and it wasn't pleasant. But I'm often reminded of a message given at thanksgiving: "be thankful you have parents to butt-heads with". And no matter what anyone says and whatever you think, respect your parents. They're a mountain of knowledge and experience. I've learned over the years that parents know more about their kids than the kids do about themselves.
I had a not-so-exciting day again at work. There was only stuff to do in the morning, and after that, it was basically just dead time. The hard-knock life of an engineer. =) Get to work around 9, work until lunch, and look busy for the rest of the day, and go home around 5. Gotta love it...

Okay, first post.
Well, i found this thing from jomo's site. I'm kinda slow in figuring out what's "in", you know, being the EECS major and all. I'm actually quite behind in terms of what's going in the computer world. MacWorld Expo? When? get my drift?
I moved into my new apartment today. Although it was a 'move' in the traditional sense, it's always nice to move to a new place and start over with fresh carpet, freshly painted walls, the whole bit. We only moved downstairs in the same building, so it wasn't a big deal. The new place is a LOT bigger, so hopefully more people will come and VISIT *hint hint*. Stinkin... that's what i get for living in my own little city by the bay, a good 15 minute drive from campus. Oh well, for $475 for my own room in a clean apartment, i'm not complaining.

I have to go back to work tomorrow. I already know the layout of my day: Get in around 8, bum around and talk/hide in my co-workers cube about until 9:30 when more poeple show up. Attempt to 'help' them, and just give up and hand it off to the new guy, since he has to learn it as well. Easy money if you ask me, but it's all good. My co-workers are really good people and i actually enjoy going to work, even though i'm bored off my butt. But, i'm not complaining, i'm super thankful that i even have a job. Most of my friends who worked over the summer actually got their verbal offers taken-back. That's gotta suck. Only by God's grace i tell you, only by God's grace.

I'll hopefully have something better to yap about tomorrow. Who knows, maybe i'll do something exciting like crash the test computer... you never know... ;-)
